Barbara Hulanicki for Topshop SS/09
Am currently lovin' the Barbara Hulanicki and Topshop collection which has pieces for every occasion from beach-wear, work-wear and casual numbers to going-out dresses and classic items. The collection will be launching tomorrow April 28th at selected Topshop stores and online so if you're thinking of owning a piece or two from this fabulous collection the best time to start window shopping is well, now! At-least by the time the doors open tomorrow you will know exactly what you want and it will save you a lot of time browsing.
I personally would go for one of the printed mini-dresses if not both, the little grey suede short suit and the moth illustration blouse. The collection is not too far from Barbara's design's during the Biba era with loose and flirty shapes mixed with Hulanicki's own whimsical touches shown in the illustrations on the clothes. Made up of a tasty palette of sherbet shades from Corals to baby blues and a range of various other pastel colours on very light, chiffon fabrics and jersey with a "leopard print" meets "space age" inspired print, moth illustrations and stylish drawings on vests and tee dresses making this collection absolutely to-die-for a must-have for the season.
