COLLECTION PREVIEW:

Get yourselves ready to start queuing again ladies as we have just been shown the amber light to the arrival of Matthew Williamson H&M collaboration...

It's very exciting and though we have been given a preview to the long awaited Matthew Williamson and H&M collaboration, it is only a glimpse of the fabulous clothing designs that are yet to come. Set to hit the stores on April 23, the Matthew Williamson collection will hit around 200 H&M stores worldwide. Another drop will be made to 1,600 stores the second time round on May 14th so if you didn't already known, it's definitely time to start ensuring that the credit and debit cards are well preped for the launch otherwise you will fall amongst some of those people who will be stuck at home only wishing.

This collaboration boasts the beauty of Williamson's
designs with wearability and the fabulousness that this summer's new shades brings which is absolute perfection. It will feature dresses, tops, all-in-ones and sharp tailoring. There's also a little bit of something for the boys; the man himself has also designed a menswear collection for H&M - his first ever menswear collection making fashion available to everyone which is just fantastic news. However, details of this venture have not yet been released but we'll be sure to stay put and keep an ear to the ground.

“I wanted to create a strong urban collection fused with the brand’s signature symbols and shapes. It’s been fascinating to search back through my archives to isolate the most iconic pieces, then rework them for H&M. Colour is one of the defining aspects of my signature style, I focused on the iconic peacock motif seen across my collections to develop a palette of blues, chartreuse and emerald. The spirit of the collection is both covetable and precious.” - Matthew Williamson

For the record, looks like Matthew Williamson decided to give us a taste of his actual SS/09 collection in the looks above - the satin tailored 'trouser suit' and the colourful print 'maxi dress', how fabulous!!!
